The Central Bank of Libya (CBL) has said the cyber security incident it reported earlier this month has been fully contained.

The CBL said on June 9 that it had detected a cyber security incident affecting “certain systems and technical services”. It responded by enacting emergency response procedures and business continuity plans, and by isolating potentially affected systems, according to a statement issued at the time.

The central bank added that specialised technical teams were co-operating
