Nigeria’s president, Bola Tinubu, has signed an executive order to co-ordinate the regulation of virtual assets in the country.
The Presidential Executive Order on Virtual Assets Co-ordination 2026 was announced on social media on July 17 by Bayo Onanuga, a special adviser to Tinubu, who said the president had signed it that day and that it took effect immediately.
